When the appointment type has not been configured as a group appointment in Appointment settings (https://www.colib.io/settings?show=appointments, section “Group/class appointment”), only one invoice should be issued for the appointment.
If several clients have been added to the appointment, for example in the case of couple therapy, you will need to choose which client will be charged or receive the invoice by email.
Colib has made this easy for you. There are several ways to do it:
1. You can directly click the invoice icon next to the client you want to charge in the appointment modal.

2. Or you can change the default payer for the appointment using these icons:

The client with the dark blue icon is the default payer for this appointment. By clicking the icon in the same column for another client, you can select that client as the default payer for the appointment.
This method has two benefits:
- Our application will know which payer to select when you create an invoice for this appointment, or when you use the invoicing automation (invoice or receipt generated automatically, and appointment status set to Completed).
- Our software will remember your choice of payer and will be able to determine the correct payer for the next appointment you create.
