Fax : How much does it cost ?

This article explains what faxes cost in Colib, for sending and for receiving, so you can choose the option that suits your clinic.

Pricing at a glance

Colib prices are in Canadian dollars, taxes not included.

Without your own SRFax account: you only pay for delivered pages

• Every clinic can send faxes, with nothing to set up. Your faxes leave from the Colib shared number.
• You pay $0.10 CAD per page sent: a 3-page fax costs $0.30 CAD. If you add a cover page, it counts as a page.
• A fax is charged only once its status is Sent, that is, once the recipient's fax machine has confirmed receipt.
• A fax with the status Not sent (busy line, wrong number, no answer) is not charged.
• The pages sent during the month appear on your monthly Colib invoice, on a Fax pages sent line. Faxes sent during your free trial are not charged.
• Your correspondents cannot fax you back on the Colib shared number, and you cannot receive faxes.

With your own SRFax account: you pay SRFax directly

What happened to the $12 CAD monthly option? Colib used to offer fax receiving with a dedicated number for $12 CAD per month, set up on request. This option no longer exists: to receive faxes, you now connect your own SRFax account, and Colib charges nothing for it.

You create your SRFax account on www.srfax.com, choose your plan and your fax number, and pay SRFax directly. Once the account is connected to Colib, your clinic gets:

• its own fax number, on which your correspondents can fax you;
• your faxes received directly in Colib, in the fax inbox shared by your team, with no need to log in to SRFax;
• a Colib notification and an email when a fax arrives, sent to the team member you choose (or to the clinic administrators);
• each fax filed in the right client record, in a few clicks;
• your faxes sent from your own number, so your correspondents can fax you back.

There is no additional charge from Colib: the faxes you send and receive with your SRFax account are not billed by Colib. Your SRFax plan sets what you pay and how many pages it includes.

How do I connect or disconnect my SRFax account?

Go to Settings > Communications (www.colib.io/settings?show=communications), Fax section. Each step is explained in How to receive faxes in Colib with your own SRFax account. To stop using your SRFax account in Colib, click Edit my SRFax account and turn off Use my SRFax account in Colib: your faxes are then sent from the Colib shared number again, at $0.10 CAD per page. To close the SRFax account itself, contact SRFax.
