By default, clients can only edit appointments they have booked themselves through the booking process.
However, you can allow clients to edit any appointment — including those you create for them via the scheduler — by enabling the setting "Allow clients to edit appointments that were booked by practitioners" :

Your clients will be able to edit their appointments via the direct booking process by activating this option. Similar to appointments they have booked through the direct booking page, they will only be able to select a date and time that you have authorized.
