You have just created your account on Colib.io and are wondering where to start?
You are at the right place! We will walk you through the essential steps to quickly set up your practice on Colib.io and schedule your first appointments with clients.
This guide provides recommendations (actions and readings as well) in a logical order to optimize your first moments on Colib.io. Of course, you are free to follow your own approach if you prefer.
1. Practice Settings
A) General Settings
URL: General Settings
Why is it important? This section allows you to define a logo, set opening hours, and configure the time zone for your practice. These should be the first settings you configure on our platform.
For whom? All new practices.
B) Team Settings
URL: Team Settings
Why is it important? Invite your team members as soon as possible to streamline the configuration process. Some settings need to be defined individually for each practitioner. You can skip this section for the moment if you are a solo practitioner.
For whom? Practices with more than one practitioner.
C) Payment Settings
URL: Payment Settings
Why is it important? This tab allows you to activate the payment option so your clients can pay invoices via credit card.
You can skip this section if you do not want to use Colib's payment cards system.

D) Invoice Settings
URL: Invoice Settings
Why is it important? Setting up your taxes and default messages on invoices will save you valuable time later. We suggest configuring your sliding scale fees later, as other items in this section are more crucial at the beginning.
For whom? All new practices.
E) Appointment Types
URL: Appointment Types
Why is it important? Most configurations are defined per appointment type (price, duration, telehealth options, reminders, follow-ups, etc.). Organizing your services and appointment types simplifies the booking process for both you and your clients on the scheduler.
For whom? All new practices.
F) Booking Page
URL: Booking Page
Why is it important? This section allows you to configure your direct booking page.

G) Scheduler Settings

Why is it important? You can configure availability groups to align with your scheduling constraints.

H) Note Templates

Why is it important? Creating new note templates or importing templates from our library will save you valuable time when writing appointment notes for your clients.

3. Creation of your first appointments, invoices and clients
A) Client
A default client ("John Doe") associated with your email was added when you created your account. You can use it to quickly schedule appointments and view received notifications. You can edit it for quick access to a client’s page as well.
